St. Patrick's Day Party 2025
Dave Driscoll our very own bagpiper entertained as residents entered the banquet hall , shortly after the crew of volunteers served an array of delicious appetizers. Sometime after apps and as dinner was being served The Drake School of Irish Dancers arrived to perform a 20 minute routine with 8 dancers, the crowd was pleased to join the fun and clap along admiring the talent of these young very energetic dancers!
Next on the agenda ,while guests ate corned beef sandwiches and salads , Shepard pie and Irish Soda Bread, residents Liam and Mary Ellen Ward sang and lead guests in a sing-a-long of Irish tunes, everyone joined the fun.
As guests dined DJ JoDar played a few Irish staples including "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" and "Toora loora loora” as well as background music.
After dessert was served the DJ kicked it up a notch- as i requested, playing many dancable rock’ roll songs.
Thank you to all who assisted with the party. I thanked them early in the evening, but many couldn't hear me due to the sound system.
I’ll try and remember everyone (its been a week!).
Susan and Maureen for checking in the guests.
Christina for taking photos and writing all the name tags.
Dar, Maureen, John , Susan and Eileen for decorating the night before the party. They did a great job!
Margie Clarke for baking her delicious Irish Soda Bread. And Liam ward for making a tray of his famous Shepard’s Pie( that went fast!).
Liam, Mary Ellen and Dave for entertaining.
Phil, Linda and Susan for helping me pick-up , deliver and prep foods to serve.
Deb, Gretchen, Denise, Barb, Eileen , Cindy C., Linda and Phil for serving the 3 courses !
And everyone that helped clean up , wash dishes and pans (special shout -out to Dar), take down all the decorations, etc!
It takes a village!
