Longboat Key City Updates: Boil water order lifted  www.longboatkey.org/home

Message From Our President October 1

Dear Longboat Harbour Resident:

Power was restored to the property Friday. If you don’t have power call FPL directly.  Comcast /Xfinity has also been restored, if your service is not working speak directly with Comcast. The Association has no affiliation with Frontier  or other providers of internet service so if your services aren’t working contact your provider.

The office is not able to provide you information on your car or unit. Cars are relatively easy to explain. We observed no damage to vehicles left on property, water did not surge across GMD and our cars did not float away. If covers were not removed, most of them blew off or are ripped. One car has hit by a tree branch and owner was notified..

We did have soffit, coping and mansard damage that could result in water intrusion into units. All of our Roofs were inspected. We had no damage from flying debris to our roofs and no owners’ air conditioning condensers blew over. The staff has inspected condo windows and doors, made them safe and notified owners.

To everyone who leaving LBH failed to bring their plants,  garden ornaments, flower pots, wreaths, sun globes, inside… etc. they were destroyed by storm.

The Board will be reviving the topic of back up power on their October agenda. Igor has done the research .

It became obvious during Ian that many owners respond quicker to a text message rather then an email. We are asking you to log into your owners portal in the Association website and update your email address and cell/mobile telephone numbers. We are adding texting feature to our communication platform via Pilera. This will nor be our normal mode of communication but will be reserved for emergency notifications only.   PLEASE UPDATE YOUR INFO ASAP.

As you begin your return to LBH please be patient.

  • Our Elevators are being brought on line, as of now D & C  are out of service
  • Our scheduled project timelines are under review and we anticipate the completing  the restoral by the October Board meeting.

Safe travels back to LBH

Bonnie
